CRB8_SP, or the Regional Council of Librarianship of the State of São Paulo (8th Region), is a federal autarchy dedicated to supporting and regulating the profession of librarianship in São Paulo. As part of the broader CFB/CRB system encompassing 14 regional councils across the country, CRB8_SP plays a pivotal role in ensuring the ethical and professional standards of librarians. The council offers a variety of online services, including professional registration for both provisional and definitive licenses, regulatory oversight, and support for compliance with legislation such as the General Data Protection Law (LGPD).
