Creative Alliance Manitou Springs, known as CRANE, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening the artistic and economic vitality of Manitou Springs, Colorado. A state-certified Colorado Creative District since 2017, CRANE supports local artists, promotes creative businesses, and creates opportunities for art and community to thrive. Its flagship program, Art on the Avenue, offers free, accessible public art experiences and gives artists opportunities to contribute to the community.

CRANE also develops creative projects and partnerships that celebrate Manitou Springs’ cultural, historic, and natural character. Working with the City of Manitou Springs, the Chamber of Commerce, the Manitou Art Center, Colorado Creative Industries, and other local organizations, it helps connect creativity with community life and economic growth. Its initiatives include Story Booth projects and public art installations, such as “Wellspring” at the Dillon Mobility Hub.

CRANE also directs donations toward supporting local creatives and small businesses; in 2025, it paid $56,288 to creatives and small businesses. As an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3), the organization invites community members to support its work through donations
