About CREAW Kenya
Founded in 1999, CREAW Kenya, also known as the Centre for Rights Education and Awareness, is a national feminist women's rights Non-Governmental Organization. With a strong focus on women's rights, CREAW strives to champion, expand, and actualize the rights and social justice of women and girls. CREAW Kenya is committed to ensuring universal access to sexual and reproductive health and rights, eliminating economic and social-cultural discrimination, and promoting women's economic empowerment.
They also work towards ending violence against women and girls, advocating for a conducive policy environment and gender progressive cultural norms. Through their Women's Voice and Leadership program, CREAW strengthens the capacity of local grassroots women's rights organizations, empowering women and girls to realize their rights and achieve gender equality. Additionally, their NiMama program brings women together to claim power in both political and non-political spaces, promoting women's needs and priorities at national and county levels.
