Credit Analyst Academy

Credit Analyst Academy provides practical commercial lending and credit analysis training tailored to the Australian finance industry. Its self-paced online course is designed for university students and graduates, bankers, other professionals, and brokers seeking to build or strengthen their commercial credit skills.

Across 20 modules, learners explore financial statement analysis, cash flow, repayment capacity, credit risk, and commercial loan structuring. The program includes learning guides, worked examples, topic review questions, practical exercises, financial modelling, and a final credit paper assessment. Experienced commercial bankers review assessments and provide personalised feedback and guidance. Participants who successfully complete the course receive a Certificate of Completion, and the program is approved by the MFAA for 20 CPD hours. Payment plans are available.

The academy’s co-founders and mentors include Darren McNamara and Thanh Do. Darren brings more than 40 years of banking experience to the training and mentoring. Credit Analyst Academy aims to help learners understand how commercial bankers assess lending proposals, identify risks, and prepare clear, well-supported credit recommendations for roles across banking, business lending, and credit risk.
