CRE Lanaudière

CRE Lanaudière, the Regional Environmental Council of Lanaudière, is an organization dedicated to advancing a sustainable future for the Lanaudière region of Quebec. For more than 30 years, it has worked to mobilize communities, provide advice, and support environmental change, guided by the principle that everyone has a right to a healthy environment. Its work brings together citizens, municipalities, and other regional stakeholders around practical initiatives and informed decision-making.

The organization develops and shares environmental projects, publications, press releases, briefs, and recommendations, and it reports on its activities and action plans. Its initiatives include Sous les pavés, which engages community members in removing paved surfaces and greening sites, as well as educational activities that explore biodiversity and nature. CRE Lanaudière also organizes events, workshops, and forums, including activities on invasive plant species and nature-based learning for young people. Through its website and monthly newsletter, it shares regional news, funding opportunities, and inspiring environmental initiatives.
