CRESAC, the Regional Center for Evaluation in Education, Environment, and Health Accreditation in Africa, was established on April 27, 2005, in Abidjan, with the aim of enhancing the quality of services provided by Conformity Assessment Bodies (CABs) in health, education, and environmental sectors. Serving member states including Benin, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Gabon, and Senegal, CRESAC is dedicated to fostering trust among stakeholders regarding the quality of CABs' offerings.
CRESAC's services include the development of accreditation programs, issuance of accreditations, and conducting evaluations to ensure compliance with established standards. Additionally, the center offers expert-led training aimed at reinforcing high-level competencies within CABs. This commitment to quality is complemented by an emphasis on adhering to international standards, particularly in laboratory settings, including the recent ISO 15189 accreditation procedures. CRESAC also actively engages in research, technical documentation, and supports partners in navigating the accreditation process, reinforcing a culture of excellence across its operational domains.
