One such promising player who has been making waves in the cricketing world is Prasidh Krishna. Born on 19th February 1996, Prasidh initially had a passion for volleyball. However, his interest soon shifted towards cricket, and at the age of 12, he joined the Basavanagudi Cricket Academy.

With a state-level volleyball player as his mother and a fast bowler as his father, it was no surprise that Prasidh followed in their footsteps. His exceptional talent led him to represent Karnataka at the Under 14 level and eventually make his mark in the state's U-19 team. He made his first-class debut for Karnataka with a remarkable five-wicket haul against Bangladesh A, and his List A debut came in the prestigious Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Prasidh's skill and consistency were evident when he became the leading wicket-taker for Karnataka in the 2018–19 Vijay Hazare Trophy. This caught the attention of the Kolkata Knight Riders, who bought him as an injury replacement. He made his international debut for India in an ODI against England, taking four wickets.

In 2022, Prasidh was auctioned for a whopping INR 10 cr by the Rajasthan Royals. Although he missed the 2023 IPL due to a stress fracture, he underwent successful surgery and made his T20I debut against Ireland. Recently, he was included in India's squad for the Asia Cup 2023.
