The Italian Red Cross Committee of the Amalfi Coast is a volunteer-led nonprofit organization serving communities along the coast, from Vietri sul Mare to Positano. Its work combines emergency response, healthcare transport, prevention, and community support in a region where steep terrain and busy seasonal travel create particular challenges. The committee operates 118 emergency response stations in Maiori and Positano, provides scheduled dialysis transport in Maiori, Positano, and Praiano, and arranges planned patient transport between Positano and Vietri sul Mare.

For emergencies at sea, it offers a territorial rescue service with a medically equipped hydro-ambulance and trained water-rescue personnel. The organization also supports beach safety in Positano, especially during the busy months of July and August, and provides first-aid assistance at cultural and tourism events throughout the Amalfi Coast. In collaboration with AVIS, it promotes prevention and blood donation.

Its activities include youth initiatives, volunteer opportunities, and public safety campaigns, while its website shares news, events, organizational information, and ways to support the committee, including through Italy’s five-per-thousand tax donation scheme
