The Italian Red Cross – Gabio Committee is a local voluntary organization supporting people and communities through health, social assistance, emergency response, and humanitarian activities. Its work reflects the Red Cross principles and includes services for individuals, families, and the wider public. The committee offers sanitary transport and assistance at events and public gatherings, helping meet community care needs.

It also provides first-aid training, pediatric life-saving skills courses, and instruction for using a defibrillator. Health initiatives include blood donation drives and scheduled checks of vital signs in Zagarolo. Social support is available through a social help desk and food assistance distribution, while the Hair Smile project and activities promoting inclusion are also featured.

The committee invites residents to volunteer and encourages donations, including Italy’s 5×1000 tax contribution, to sustain its work. As part of the broader Italian Red Cross movement, it has also shared information about humanitarian response efforts, including support related to the emergency in Ukraine
