Crilj Loire

CRILJ Loire, the Centre for Research and Information on Children’s Literature in the Loire, is a nonprofit association dedicated to promoting children’s and young adult literature and encouraging reading among young people. Based in the Loire region of France, it works with schools, libraries, educators, and other professionals who support young readers. Its activities include workshops and programs focused on picture books, storytelling, poetry, and school libraries, as well as a “Reading Journey” that brings groups together through a shared literary theme.

The association also arranges meetings with children’s authors and illustrators in schools, colleges, and media libraries, helping young people engage directly with the creators of books. CRILJ Loire provides training for professionals and other intermediaries in children’s literature through courses and professional days. It shares news and activity updates through its blog and offers membership for those wishing to support or take part in its work.

The association collaborates with local and regional partners, including the City of Saint-Étienne, the Loire Department, and cultural authorities in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes
