About Crisis Response International
Crisis Response International (CRI) is a non-profit organization that trains and deploys volunteers from communities, churches, and other independent organizations to respond to disasters and compassion initiatives worldwide. As a 501(c)(3) organization, CRI provides a framework for disaster response, delivering resources to areas that are often inaccessible to volunteers. By offering specialized training, CRI ensures that their volunteers can prevent the chaos that may arise when untrained resources arrive at the scene, known as the second disaster.
Additionally, CRI collaborates with local, state, and federal response efforts when necessary and manages operations on the ground to provide relief and services to disaster victims. To volunteer with CRI, individuals and groups must complete their disaster relief training. CRI's mission is inspired by their strong belief in Christ and their commitment to preaching the gospel, helping the poor, and serving those in need.
With a history rooted in responding to major disasters like Hurricane Katrina and the Haiti Earthquake, CRI has become a leading organization in bringing light and hope to the darkest corners of the world through their trained network of over 10,000 responders
