DI SAN SEVERO TORREMAGGIORE

Croce Rossa Italiana – Comitato di San Severo-Torremaggiore is a local committee of the Italian Red Cross, serving communities in and around San Severo and Torremaggiore. Its services include first aid and ambulance transport, with scheduled patient transfers to and from healthcare facilities, both locally and over longer distances. The committee also provides health education, promotes healthy lifestyles and life-saving skills, encourages voluntary blood donation, and supports emergency response. Social initiatives include assistance for people experiencing hardship or vulnerability, food distribution to people in need, support related to addiction, and activities such as clowning. Through its Health Workshop in Torremaggiore, it has offered medical appointments, specialist consultations and health screening for vulnerable residents. The committee also engages young people, fostering active citizenship and helping them become agents of positive change in their communities.
