About Critical Care Science
Critical Care Science (CCS) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the Brazilian Intensive Care Medicine Association (AMIB) and the Portuguese Society of Intensive Care (SPCI). Formerly known as Revista Brasileira de Terapia Intensiva, the journal publishes research and scholarly work on adult and pediatric intensive care medicine. Its scope includes clinical, epidemiological, translational, and health services research, supporting the dissemination of evidence relevant to critical care practice and research.
CCS provides an online platform for readers to search its articles by title, author, keyword, article type, section, and publication year. Its content spans original research, clinical reports, case reports, reviews, editorials, commentaries, correspondence, guidelines and consensus statements, and other scholarly formats. The journal also publishes dedicated collections and special series, including a collaboration with the ISICEM Symposium featuring concise, state-of-the-art reviews by invited experts. Readers can access article abstracts, citation details, metrics, and supplementary datasets or files where available.
