The Centre de Ressources Multihandicap (CRMH) is a Paris-based resource centre focused on people with profound multiple disabilities, known in French as polyhandicap. It supports families, carers, professionals, students and associations through information, guidance and training. Its work centres on helping people understand polyhandicap and develop approaches to everyday support and care.
CRMH offers training programmes designed in response to the needs of families and professionals who accompany people with polyhandicap. Its resources include a documentary collection of books, journals and articles on polyhandicap and high levels of dependency, as well as a directory of relevant establishments and services and a curated selection of websites. The centre also shares news and practical information through publications, meetings, groups and events, including Hebdopoly, an agenda focused on polyhandicap. Topics featured on its site include respectful, compassionate care, personal privacy and questions about managing the assets of a person with a disability. CRMH is supported by the associations Les Amis de Karen and Notre-Dame de Joye and is open weekdays at its Paris location.
