Croce Bianca Rotaliana ODV is a volunteer association providing social and healthcare services in the Piana Rotaliana area of Trentino, Italy. Based at the Civil Protection Centre on Via Trento in Mezzolombardo, it supports the community through emergency response, healthcare assistance and patient transport. Its emergency service operates around the clock, every day, while scheduled services run on weekday mornings and, Monday to Friday, in the afternoons.
The association has a team of more than 80 volunteers, 10 full-time employees and eight operational vehicles. It transports people who need assistance and reports having travelled more than 243,000 kilometres and served over 6,000 people. Volunteers receive training from the association’s instructors, supported by nurses from Trentino Emergenza 118.
Croce Bianca Rotaliana also invites new volunteers to contribute their time and skills, and welcomes community support through donations, including Italy’s 5x1000 tax designation. Its website shares organizational information, news, events and its social report, helping residents learn about its activities and ways to get involved
