AVPA Croce Blu Castelfranco Emilia

Croce Blu is a volunteer public assistance association serving Castelfranco Emilia, Nonantola and San Cesario sul Panaro. With around 40 years of volunteer activity, it provides community-based social and healthcare support, including ambulance and emergency response services, patient transport and assistance. In 2025, the association reported completing 22,419 services and travelling 581,223 kilometres with its fleet of 31 rescue vehicles, supported by 325 volunteer members.

Croce Blu also helps people get involved through volunteer opportunities and training courses, including preparation for ordinary transport volunteering. It shares practical health information with the community, such as free sessions on pediatric choking first aid, and organizes events for adults and children. The association welcomes donations, including contributions through Italy’s five-per-thousand tax allocation, to support its work. Its website provides information about services, courses, events, volunteer roles and ways to contribute, along with news and updates through a blog and newsletter. Through its local presence and volunteer-led activities, Croce Blu works to offer practical support and care to residents across the three communities.
