Crooked Toe Hatchery

Crooked Toe Farm is a family-owned poultry business that began as a family project in 2015 and has grown into a hatchery serving families, homesteaders, and farms. Based in Pauline, South Carolina, the farm focuses on raising healthy heritage-breed chickens and helping customers start and care for backyard flocks. Its offerings include day-old chicks, hatching eggs, and started pullets, alongside information for new and experienced chicken keepers.

The farm features breeds selected for health, temperament, and productivity, including Ameraucanas, Black Australorps, and Buff Orpingtons. Customers can explore breed characteristics such as egg production, hardiness, and disposition when choosing birds for their flocks. Many of the farm’s chicks are heritage breeds listed by the Livestock Conservancy.

Crooked Toe Farm also offers handcrafted herbal remedies and wellness products through its Crooked Toe Apothecary, including fire cider and elderberry tincture. The business invites customers to get in touch for help selecting suitable birds and provides contact options by text and email.
