Croom Medical is an Ireland-based manufacturing partner for orthopaedic medical device companies, combining engineering expertise built since 1984 with production at its Limerick campus. Its ISO 13485:2016-certified operations support OEMs from product development through qualification and repeat production, helping customers expand capacity, advance product and process innovation, and secure supply chains.

The company manufactures orthopaedic implants and medical components for knee, hip, spine, trauma and extremity applications, as well as patient-specific implants. Capabilities include precision and Swiss turning machining, metal additive manufacturing, finishing and polishing, cleaning, testing and inspection. Croom also provides product and process design, rapid prototyping, materials testing, FDA 510(k) regulatory guidance, process transfer and validation, and supply chain management.

Its manufacturing approach covers development, industrialisation, qualification and controlled repeat production, with processes and evidence agreed with each customer. Specialist technologies include TALOS tantalum 3D printing and Biofuse 3D-printed lattice. On-site materials testing supports process development, while automation, custom fixtures and inspection methods help address complex implant geometries.
