CrossIce Developments

CrossIce Developments (CID) is a Central Alberta hockey development company that helps players and organizations improve individual and team performance. With nearly eight years of experience, the company emphasizes knowledgeable instruction, close attention to each athlete, and well-organized sessions designed to deliver practical results. Its coaches bring at least Junior A or college hockey playing or coaching experience, along with advanced coaching education, and CID is trusted by more than 15 hockey associations and programs.

Training options include individual and small-group sessions, team development, elite power skating, skill development, and camps focused on skills and tryout preparation. Instruction can cover skating, puck possession, checking, and team tactics, with programs adapted to participants’ abilities and goals rather than following a one-size-fits-all plan. CID places particular importance on skating fundamentals, including edge control, weight distribution, fluidity, and explosiveness, to help athletes become more efficient and confident on the ice. The company also offers strength and conditioning guidance, including weight-room training tailored to players’ needs.
