Cross Lake Association of Pine County is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving Cross Lake and the Snake River, from the St. Croix River to the Kanabec County line. Its mission is to promote, educate, and improve understanding and comprehensive management of Cross Lake and its watershed, while strengthening the surrounding lake community.

The association focuses on water quality and lake protection through research, education, monitoring, and community involvement. Its work includes addressing aquatic invasive species such as Eurasian watermilfoil, sharing survey and treatment information, and communicating findings from water quality and feasibility studies. The organization also encourages shoreline management and restoration, safe boating and water use, and practical steps residents can take to reduce pollution and prevent the spread of invasive plants.

Cross Lake Association offers memberships, volunteer opportunities, educational resources, newsletters, and community events, including its annual boat parade and member meetings.
