CROSS-REIS is an EU Horizon project dedicated to enhancing scientific excellence and fostering collaboration in academia and research. The project aims to promote extensive collaboration among higher education and research institutions across Europe to transition towards a regenerative economy paradigm.

Through various initiatives, CROSS-REIS focuses on achieving a balanced circulation of talents, strengthening ties with local communities for innovation, promoting open sharing of knowledge, reforming research assessment systems, fostering science-business connections, advancing gender equality, and accelerating society's shift towards a green and digital future.

The project's research areas include Circular Economy, Urban Biodiversity, and Waste Management, with a methodology focused on building capacities, co-creating R&I strategies, and engaging with stakeholders. CROSS-REIS also collaborates with entities in third countries to benefit HE institutions in widening countries.
