Crowchild Skating

Crowchild Skating Club is a Skate Canada-sanctioned skating club based in northwest Calgary, Alberta. The club welcomes skaters at different stages and offers programs designed for learning, skill development, and participation on the ice. Its offerings include CanSkate, a learn-to-skate program, along with PreCanSkate, figure skating, STARSkate, PowerSkate, and AdultSKATE. The club also lists a Figure Skating Academy called “Learn To Figure Skate,” giving prospective participants several options to explore skating.

Crowchild Skating Club provides program information, registration, coaching team details, and club and Skate Canada policies through its website. Safety is an important part of participation: CSA-approved hockey helmets are required for CanSkate skaters through Stage 5 and for all PowerSkate participants. PreCanSkate participants must wear a CSA-approved hockey helmet with a cage. The club notes that bicycle, multi-sport, and snowboarding or skiing helmets are not acceptable. Located at 185 Scenic Acres Drive NW, the club shares updates and connects with its community through Instagram and Facebook.
