CRREM Foundation is a non-profit organisation providing a global standard for assessing transition risk in real estate. Its science-based, Paris-aligned decarbonisation pathways translate climate science into property-level benchmarks and risk indicators, supporting investors and other real estate professionals in understanding portfolio exposure and planning for change. CRREM offers more than 1,000 pathways covering 44 countries, with country-specific data across six continents.
Through its Pathway Explorer, users can compare a building’s performance with a relevant pathway and estimate its CRREM Misalignment Year. The foundation also provides pathway data, methodology information, reference guides, publications and practical guidance for portfolio assessment, target-setting and retrofit planning. These resources can help users identify at-risk assets, set science-based targets, sequence retrofits and plan capital expenditure.
CRREM works with investors, service providers, software platforms and other market participants through license partnerships, accredited service providers and an open-contribution model for data. Its pathways and tools are available for research, investment analysis, reporting and internal decision-making with attribution; commercial redistribution and certain integrations require a separate agreement.
