About Crypto Climate Accord
Crypto Climate Accord is a private sector-led initiative inspired by the Paris Climate Agreement. It aims to decarbonize the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry to address the growing energy consumption and its impact on the climate. The Accord brings together the entire crypto community to develop digital #ProofOfGreen solutions and set a new standard for other industries to follow.
The Accord has garnered support from over 250 companies and individuals spanning various sectors such as finance, technology, NGOs, and energy and climate. These supporters collaborate to advise, develop, and scale solutions in support of the Accord's objectives. Additionally, the Accord has signatories who commit to achieving net-zero emissions from electricity consumption associated with their crypto-related operations by 2030.
The Accord also offers opportunities for engagement, supporting the effort to decarbonize the crypto industry, and promoting sustainability
