About Cyber Security Authority Ghana
The Cyber Security Authority (CSA) is Ghana’s national body established under the Cybersecurity Act, 2020 (Act 1038), to regulate cybersecurity activities and promote the development of cybersecurity across the country. Its vision is a secure and resilient digital Ghana, supported by a mission to strengthen digital infrastructure, build national capacity, deter cybercrime and foster cybersecurity cooperation.
The CSA provides public guidance and services to help protect people, organisations and essential systems online. Through CERT-GH, it publishes advisories and alerts about reported vulnerabilities, cyber threats and scams, including guidance on reducing their impact. The Authority also provides channels for reporting cybersecurity incidents and information on protecting children online and critical information infrastructure.
For the cybersecurity sector, the CSA oversees the licensing of Cybersecurity Service Providers and the accreditation of Cybersecurity Establishments and Professionals, with a portal for verification and related FAQs. It also develops resources, raises public awareness through campaigns and events, and shares news and press releases.
