About C-Saúde

C-Saúde, officially known as ASSOCIAÇÃO CENTRO PELA SAÚDE GLOBAL, is a Mozambican non-profit organization established in 2020. With the support of Vanderbilt University Medical Center and Friends in Global Health, C-Saúde operates primarily in the public health sector, focusing on critical health issues without political or religious bias. As a key player in the implementation of PEPFAR-funded programs, C-Saúde plays an essential role in transitioning health resources within Mozambique.

Throughout 2023 and into 2024, the organization has expanded its efforts by providing technical assistance in health information systems, directly impacting the communities in Nicoadala and Derre. Key initiatives include the Avante and Avante Saúde programs, aimed at supporting the Mozambican Ministry of Health and strengthening health systems before the transition to government-led services. C-Saúde remains dedicated to improving health outcomes in areas such as HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, and maternal and child health, addressing the pressing healthcare needs of thousands in Zambézia province
