About Envato
The Civil Society Education Coalition (CSEC) is an alliance of 82 diverse independent and voluntary organizations in Malawi. Their mission is to promote the right to quality education for all and complement government efforts to create a literate and highly productive nation. CSEC consists of non-governmental organizations, community-based organizations, trade unions, faith-based organizations, and research centers.
They advocate for the right to quality education and work to influence necessary policy changes in the education sector. CSEC's vision is a society where all people enjoy the right to education that promotes equality, relevance, accessibility, quality, and critical thinking. They achieve their mission and vision through information sharing, research advocacy, and capacity building of member organizations and stakeholders.
CSEC has established District Education Networks (DENs) in all districts, except Likoma district. With 24 partners, 84 members, and 12 projects, CSEC is committed to transparency, accountability, respect for human rights and the rule of law, integrity, and gender equality.
