About Civil Society Innovation Fund Ethiopia
CSIF Ethiopia is an initiative funded by the French Development Agency aimed at supporting civil society in Ethiopia. The fund supports new and emerging civil society organizations dedicated to creating a more democratic, pluralistic, and innovative society. Through three consortia projects involving 15 local CSOs, CSIF promotes innovative capacity building, advocacy, and dialogue initiatives, empowering CSOs to deliver effective projects that address societal issues.
The goal is to create a diverse civil society sector that influences policy, amplifies citizens' voices, and protects civic space. With a 3-year duration and a budget of up to 3 million Euros, CSIF focuses on sub-sectors such as media, gender, and human rights, offering capacity building in project management, monitoring, leadership, and more. Managed by AGAR and INTRAC, CSIF Ethiopia envisions a stronger civil society sector in Ethiopia with the active participation of new and innovative actors
