About CSNSExtremo
Centro Social Nossa Senhora do Extremo (CSNSE) is a private social solidarity institution based in Tourencinho, in the municipality of Vila Pouca de Aguiar, Portugal. Founded in 2003, it works to improve quality of life through compassionate, community-focused support for older people, children, and families experiencing vulnerability. Its services include residential care for older people (ERPI), with accommodation, daily support, nursing care, meals, and social activities; and a home support service (SAD) offering help with personal care, meals, household tasks, laundry, medication, and appointments.
The centre also provides social and recreational activities to reduce isolation, social inclusion support through the Social Integration Income programme (RSI), and meals for people and families facing hardship. Its Nossa Senhora das Dores nursery supports children up to age three with care and educational activities. CSNSE emphasizes dignity, autonomy, inclusion, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Its ERPI and SAD services have held APCER certification, including ISO 9001:2015, since 2015. The institution also welcomes donations and support through Portugal’s 0. 5% income tax allocation scheme
