ČSOP Křivatec

ZO ČSOP Křivatec is a local organization of the Czech Union for Nature Conservation, a nationwide association dedicated to protecting and restoring nature, landscapes, and the environment, promoting environmental education, and supporting sustainable living. Founded in 1981, the Prague-based group has a long history of caring for protected areas in Prague 8, conducting nature surveys, and arranging public walks and educational events. Today, it has 20 members and a wider circle of supporters.

The organization focuses on introducing people to protected sites and other notable natural features in Prague 8, while also helping care for selected specially protected areas. Its work is voluntary, with members actively participating in conservation activities and community events. The group also organizes excursions to places of natural interest in the Czech Republic and elsewhere in Europe. Through its website, ZO ČSOP Křivatec shares information about protected species, publications, current news, and volunteer workdays. Its activities offer local residents opportunities to learn about the natural environment and take part in its care.
