ČSOP Podorlicko

ZO ČSOP Podorlicko is a local organization of the Czech Union for Nature Conservation, based in Česká Třebová. Active since 1981 and known by its current name since 2004, it works to protect nature through practical field activities and environmental education. Members maintain a habitat for the early purple orchid, monitor springs and orchid populations, and take part in the “Let’s Clean Up the World!” initiative. The organization also operates and maintains two educational trails, including their information boards and sensory features.

Through its Podorlicko environmental education centre, the group offers learning programmes, complemented by activities on its trails. Its website lists educational programmes, nature trails, springs and local environmental initiatives, and shares information about events and competitions. These include an online competition for secondary-school students focused on protected areas in the Pardubice Region. The organization’s work connects conservation with opportunities for students and the wider community to learn about local landscapes and biodiversity. Its activities are supported in part by the Pardubice Region, including the 2026 competition.
