ČSOP Hradec

ČSOP Hradec Králové is a local organisation of the Czech Union for Nature Conservation, dedicated to protecting nature and the environment. Its work includes caring for protected areas and other biologically valuable sites, while helping visitors understand their importance and enjoy them responsibly. The organisation also supports the restoration of natural landscape functions through measures for water, forests and other ecosystems.

Promoting biodiversity and sustainable living is central to its mission. ČSOP Hradec Králové works with scientists, supports innovation and shares conservation knowledge with the public. Its projects include efforts to protect reptiles and pollinators, as well as participation in the European LIFE programme to help return the scarce Apollo butterfly to the Czech lands.

For environmental education, the organisation operates the Ekokaravan, a mobile outreach base used at public events for activities led by educators. Supporters can adopt a meadow, wetland, heathland or animal shelter, donate, or join conservation initiatives.
