Centro Social e Paroquial de Vila Nova da Baronia | Vila Nova da Baronia

The Centro Social e Paroquial de Vila Nova da Baronia is a social-economy organization in Portugal guided by the principles of the Church’s Social Doctrine. Its mission is to provide social and charitable support, with particular attention to older people, people with disabilities and their families. The institution aims to promote active, balanced ageing and continually improve the quality of its services in cooperation with local and regional partners.

Its services include a residential home for older people, offering temporary or permanent accommodation alongside social support and medical and nursing care. A day centre provides services designed to help older adults remain in their family and community environment. The home-support service delivers individualized care in people’s homes, while the physiotherapy unit serves both the institution’s users and the wider community.

The organization emphasizes compassion, solidarity, respect for each person’s individuality, equality, education and professional responsibility. Its quality policy focuses on meeting the needs of service users, families, staff and the surrounding community while maintaining the institution’s financial sustainability.
