About UC CS Education
CS Unplugged is an innovative brand that offers a unique approach to teaching Computer Science without the need for a computer. Through a collection of free teaching materials, including engaging games and puzzles using everyday items like cards, string, and crayons, CS Unplugged aims to make learning CS fun and interactive. Recently, they have adapted their lessons for online teaching, making it accessible to students and educators remotely.
The brand's primary goal is to promote Computer Science to young people as an interesting and intellectually stimulating discipline. With curriculum integrations, distance learning options, and activities for students to do at home, CS Unplugged provides a comprehensive and holistic approach to teaching CS. This project is driven by the Computer Science Education Research Group at the University of Canterbury, New Zealand, and is open source on GitHub
