C.T. Barney is an author whose writing grew from keeping a notebook of thoughts and observations during a stress management class in 2016. Those notes inspired the characters and scenarios behind the Cleo series. Born in Las Vegas, Barney lives and writes in Oregon with her husband and two sons.
The website introduces Barney’s young adult science-fiction series and features its first book, Under the Surface. The novel follows Cleopatra Travers, a teenager who cannot remember what she does while sleepwalking. Her parents know what happened but have kept it from her, leaving Cleo frightened and estranged from her family. As she seeks acceptance at school, a forgotten crush resurfaces and new discoveries threaten to reveal her secret. The story combines mystery, romance, realistic characters, and sharp wit.
Readers can find links to buy Under the Surface through Amazon or as a hardcover through Lulu. The site also offers author information, blog posts, contact details, and an email signup for book and blog updates.
