The Centre de Ciència i Tecnologia Forestal de Catalunya (CTFC) is a research and technology-transfer centre focused on sustainable forest management, biodiversity and the circular bioeconomy. It works to connect scientific knowledge with practical solutions for society and the territories it serves. Its activities are organised around four programmes: multifunctional forest management; biodiversity management and conservation; landscape dynamics and planning; and bioeconomy, health and governance. Research addresses the balance of natural-environment functions, climate-change adaptation and competitiveness across value chains.

CTFC develops and supports projects spanning forest fires, resilient landscapes, forests and water, bioproducts, biodiversity and digital innovation in the forestry sector. Examples include initiatives on socio-ecological solutions for fire-resilient European territories, Mediterranean agroforestry and forest-soil conservation. The centre also shares its work through publications, news, research groups and technology transfer, and highlights research outcomes and intellectual property. As an accredited TECNIO agent, CTFC serves as a hub for excellence in research and the transfer of technology to society.
