The Connecticut Opportunity Project (CTOP) is a social investment fund created, funded, and facilitated by Dalio Education. It works to strengthen youth-serving organizations across Connecticut so they can effectively and sustainably support young people who are severely off track or disconnected from school and work. CTOP focuses on youth ages 14 to 26, aiming to help them re-engage in and complete secondary education or earn a credential, then pursue post-secondary pathways leading to satisfying employment at a living wage and greater self-sufficiency.
CTOP invests in and works with a network of grantee organizations, including Catalyst CT, COMPASS Youth Collaborative, Domus Kids, Forge City Works, MATCH, Our Piece of the Pie, Roca, and Young Women’s Media Center. The project also shares research, resources, and annual reports to deepen understanding of youth disconnection in Connecticut and inform responses. Its research includes quantitative analysis and qualitative work exploring young people’s lived experiences. Through its website, CTOP provides updates about the initiative and its partners, highlights results and news, and offers email newsletter sign-ups.
