Umatilla Confederated Tribes (CTUIR) is a union of three tribes – Cayuse, Umatilla, and Walla Walla, with over 3,100 tribal members. This brand represents the rich history and culture of the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation. The CTUIR is governed by a Constitution and by-laws and has a nine-member Board of Trustees elected every two years by the General Council.

The Board sets policy, makes final decisions, and takes a lead role in determining priority projects and issues. CTUIR offers a range of services and benefits to its tribal members, including career opportunities, notary public services, education and family assistance programs, housing applications, hunting and fishing permits, and more. The tribe also operates the Yellowhawk Tribal Health Center and Tribal Enterprises.

The day-to-day work of the Confederated Tribes is carried out by a dedicated staff of nearly 500 employees. Preserving their traditions and native languages is important to the CTUIR, and they continue to exercise their fishing, hunting, and gathering rights as outlined in the treaty signed with the US government in 1855.
