The Chicago Teachers Union (CTU) stands as a vital advocate for over 25,000 educators, paraprofessionals, and clinicians dedicated to transforming public education in Chicago. With a focus on unity and democratic principles, CTU provides robust support services to its members, including contract guidance, grievance handling, and access to professional development opportunities. The union actively engages in legislative advocacy, empowering communities to demand better funding and conditions for schools, and fostering initiatives such as the Black Lives Matter at School Week and campaigns for bilingual education and early childhood support.

CTU also serves as a platform for grassroots organizing, helping members collaborate through committees and participate in citywide campaigns aimed at addressing educational inequities. With a commitment to ensuring a quality educational experience for all students, CTU strives to protect the rights of its members while championing the needs of the students they serve. Through ongoing actions and initiatives, CTU maintains its position as a powerful force in shaping the future of public education in Chicago.
