Welcome to WBDC! We are the Women's Business Development Council, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing entrepreneurial training and financial education for women in Connecticut. Our mission is to provide women with the tools and resources they need to thrive in business. We believe that when desire, education, and preparation come together, opportunities are created, ideas are ignited, and economies are expanded.

At WBDC, we offer a wide range of products and services to support women entrepreneurs. From our small business grant programs in New London, Torrington, and Waterbury, to our Equity Match Grant Program and Child Care Business Opportunity Fund, we provide funding opportunities for women to start and grow their businesses. We also offer business advising, classes, and mentoring opportunities to help women develop their skills and knowledge.

Our annual Gala and Awards Celebration is a must-attend event, where we honor and celebrate the achievements of women-owned businesses. Additionally, we provide a co-working space and podcast room, as well as an eLearning library and business directory to support women in their entrepreneurial journey.
