About Consejo Uruguayo de Bienestar Social
Consejo Uruguayo de Bienestar Social (CUBS) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) that affiliates institutions and public, private, and professional organizations interested in Social Welfare in Uruguay. As the representative of the International Council on Social Welfare (ICSW) in Uruguay, CUBS has been promoting Social Welfare since 1947. They facilitate the exchange of experiences, both nationally and internationally, fostering cultural, informational, and experiential interactions.
As a National Committee, they contribute to the policies of the ICSW, promoting its objectives. CUBS is dedicated to coordinating institutions and planning projects with the same goals, working towards the improvement of Social Welfare. They organize various activities, such as the Movida de la Diabetes and the Cine por el Bienestar, and provide a platform for young filmmakers through the National Short Film Contest.
