Cultivate California

Cultivate California is a vital initiative dedicated to preserving and enhancing the state's agricultural heritage and sustainability. Positioned at the intersection of farming and responsible water management, the initiative emphasizes the importance of agriculture in shaping California’s economy and supporting its ecosystems. In the face of significant challenges caused by prolonged droughts, which have resulted in the closure of vast tracts of farmland, Cultivate California highlights the urgent need for innovative water conservation techniques among farmers and ranchers.

The brand champions the use of water-efficient farming practices, aimed at maximizing the value of every drop and ensuring the longevity of California's rich agricultural landscape. Supported by a diverse coalition of individuals and organizations, Cultivate California represents nearly all of the state's 76,700 farms and ranches, many of which are family-operated. By promoting education, collaboration, and sustainable practices, Cultivate California seeks to foster a more resilient agricultural community that can thrive amidst environmental uncertainties while supporting local economies.
