Culture Academy

Culture Academy e.V. is a nonprofit organization that has combined education and movement since 2005. Working across sport, culture and research, it develops practical learning experiences for children, young people and adults, guided by educational and scientific standards. Its approach connects physical activity with personal development and offers programs in both in-person and digital settings.

The academy provides martial arts training in Capoeira, mixed martial arts, Brazilian jiu-jitsu and grappling, as well as striking disciplines including kickboxing. Participants can train in small groups or through personal training. Other activities include functional fitness and strength training, yoga, meditation, early-morning exercise and kettlebell movement. Children’s programs use Capoeira, music and playful movement to support development.

Beyond training, Culture Academy offers workshops, family support, professional development and educational leave for people working in education and social services. Its digital education initiatives cover programming, media literacy and creative thinking. The organization also runs a coworking space with movement and cooking areas, conducts research on resilience through martial arts, and shares conversations about the emotional side of combat sports through its monthly “Kampfgefuehl” podcast.
