About Culturgest
Culturgest is a brand that offers a wide range of artistic programs and services. With a focus on contemporary art, Culturgest showcases various art forms, including theater, dance, music, visual arts, cinema, performance, conferences, and debates. Their collection includes both established and emerging artists, with a particular emphasis on art produced after the 1980s.
The collection also features works from Portugal, Brazil, Mozambique, Angola, and Cape Verde, reflecting a diverse range of artistic expressions. Since 2006, Culturgest has been responsible for the study, management, promotion, and conservation of the approximately 1800 artworks in the collection, encompassing painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, video, installation, and printmaking. They regularly lend artworks for exhibitions in Portugal and abroad and prioritize social involvement and collaboration through artistic projects.
