Cumberland Court Care Home

Cumberland Court is a small, family-run care home in the conservation area of St Leonards-on-Sea, close to local shops and a bus route. It aims to provide a warm, friendly environment where trained staff deliver person-centred care with dignity and respect. The home supports long-stay, short-stay and respite residents, and can also provide emergency care, including at weekends and on bank holidays. Staff work with local community health professionals and hospitals.

Accommodation is available mainly in single-occupancy rooms, most with en-suite facilities. Rooms include television and phone points, call bells, and are refurbished regularly. A passenger lift serves all floors, while the ground-floor lounge and dining room offer shared spaces. The home also has accessible gardens.

Cumberland Court provides daily activities, organised events and outings. Its catering team prepares fresh food on site and can accommodate special diets, nutritional requirements and individual food preferences. The home reports positive feedback from Healthwatch and East Sussex Social Services’ Quality Monitoring Team, and describes its charges as equitable.
