The Cunnamulla and District Show Society is a community organisation that brings people together through its annual agricultural show in Cunnamulla, Queensland. Established as the Paroo Show Society in 1955, it later became the Cunnamulla and District Show Society and was incorporated in 1991. The society organises the Cunnamulla Show and associated events, including the Stockman’s Challenge, Young Farmers Challenge and motorbike gymkhana.
The show features horses, motocross, rides, arts and crafts, entertainment and activities for visitors across a weekend. It also coordinates trade sites and show entries, and supports exhibition sections that showcase local participation and skills. The society works with sponsors, members, volunteers and the wider community to deliver the event, with support from local businesses and organisations.
Its executive committee recognises these contributions as vital to the show’s success and aims to build and improve the event for the future. The annual gathering celebrates the district’s agricultural and community life while offering entertainment and experiences for people of all ages
