Cunningham Bamboo Flyrods specializes in handcrafted bamboo fly rods that combine traditional craftsmanship with performance designed for modern anglers. Built by David Cunningham, each rod is made to order using proven materials and techniques, with careful attention to details such as reel seats and guide wraps. The rods are designed for smooth action, responsiveness, casting precision, and durability, and are presented as heirloom-quality pieces intended to be treasured across generations.

The brand draws on the history of bamboo fly rods, which became valued for the strength, flexibility, and distinctive feel of Tonkin cane. David’s lifelong interest in fly fishing, along with his manufacturing experience in fields including surfboards and decoys, informs his focus on quality. Cunningham offers a personalized ordering process that begins with a detailed consultation. Customers can discuss their fishing needs and aesthetic preferences, and customize components to suit their build. The company serves anglers seeking a functional fly rod with traditional character and an individually tailored design.
