About CUPW
Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) is more than just a union for postal workers. It represents a diverse range of workers, including letter carriers, rural and suburban mail carriers, postal clerks, mail handlers, despatchers, technicians, mechanics, electricians, cleaners, couriers, drivers, warehouse workers, printers, and emergency medical dispatchers. CUPW is a democratic union, where members elect all representatives and have the final say on contract demands and settlements. The union is proud of its history and the achievements of its members.
However, CUPW also offers a range of publications and resources, including the Megan Whitfield Bursary and the National Organization of Retired Postal Workers. Additionally, CUPW advocates for postal banking and financial inclusion, aiming to provide alternative financial services to underserved communities. With a focus on social and economic issues, CUPW is a union dedicated to representing the rights and interests of a wide variety of workers, both in the public and private sectors.
