About CURAD
CURAD Incubator is an innovative agribusiness incubator that aims to enhance University Responsiveness to Agribusiness Development. Established in 2012, CURAD is a collaboration between Makerere University, National Union of Coffee Agribusinesses and Farm Enterprises (NUCAFE), and National Agricultural Research Organization (NARO). This autonomous incubator provides a platform for youth entrepreneurs interested in agribusiness entrepreneurship.
CURAD offers a range of services and programs to support young enterprises, including the Innovation Challenge. This annual challenge promotes product quality improvement and market access for Uganda's young enterprises. In addition, CURAD operates an online shop where entrepreneurs can access resources, tools, and products related to agribusiness.
With a vision to be the leading agribusiness incubator in East Africa, CURAD strives to create a conducive environment for innovation, collaboration, and growth. Through partnerships with organizations such as ASARECA, ANAFE, and FARA, CURAD aims to contribute to the development of the agribusiness sector in Uganda and beyond
