Curran's Karate

Curran’s Karate is a children-focused martial arts school serving families in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows, where it says it has supported local children for more than 20 years. The school specializes in young learners, particularly ages 3 to 7, and offers kids’ karate classes designed to make training active, enjoyable, and age-appropriate. Its instruction combines martial arts skills with lessons in confidence, focus, discipline, respect, courtesy, resilience, goal-setting, teamwork, leadership, and bullying prevention. The program also emphasizes using karate responsibly and only for self-defense.

Classes are led by black-belt instructors described as experienced educators, in a family-friendly dojo with supervised sessions and custom padded flooring. Parents can watch classes, and the school also offers special family classes. Beyond the dojo, Curran’s Karate provides a dedicated app through which parents can set household tasks and personal challenges for children; completed activities can be recognized by instructors in class. New students can book a free, one-on-one introductory trial class to experience the program.
